Throughout the year the Friends of Bank Hall Volunteers, open up the grounds for their program of event days (usually on Sundays) which has been a tradition for over 30 years in order to raise funds for the ongoing project of restoring the Hall.  Although the main Hall has now been restored vital funds are still needed to support the group with other ongoing restoration projects such as the Potting Sheds Project, Walled Garden Restoration and ​​wider grounds as well as ongoing historical research.

Prospect Tower Tours

The Prospect Tower and Exhibition are open for tours every Sunday at 11am. Grounds visit also optional. To book your tickets please visit the link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/heritagetrustforthenorthwest​​

Dogs are welcome within the grounds but must be kept on short non retractable leads at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the house.

Snowdrop Events Information:

 

The Bank Hall grounds will be open for the famous Snowdrop displays on Sundays and Wednesdays throughout February 2026. Come and enjoy the woodland walks through the carpets of snowdrops said to be one of the best displays in the country! Can your little explorers find the winter fairies? We will also have updates on our current projects. The Prospect Tower will be open on Sundays and available to visit by pre-booking; please see link below for how to book your tour.

 

Admission:

🎟️ Snowdrop Walks - Pay on the gate entry. 

Adults £4, Children (under 16) FREE (cash and card payments)

(However, if there are any spaces on the day, pay on the gate admissions will be opened up for tours)

🌳 Please note that access to the grounds is not included in the Prospect Tower booking unless you book a “General Admission Including Access to the Grounds” ticket.

Grounds open 12pm - 4pm

Tower Tours at 11am and 1pm (on Sunday)

🌱 For 2026 we will have a limited amount of snowdrops for sale each week (Sundays only).

🧚‍♂️ NEW for 2026 - Winter Fairy Trail

Come and find the fairies in their winter wonderland amongst the carpets of wonderful white snowdrops. (Sundays only)

 

☕️ Refreshments will be available on Sundays.

🚾 Portaloo facilities are within the gardens, Tower visitors will have access to the toilet in the tower.

🚗 Free Parking - may be limited at busy times. 

⚠️ Please do not park in the Kindergarten carpark on Wednesday events.

♿️ The paths are woodchip and may be unsuitable for wheelchair users. The tower has 76 steps to the clock room level. The exhibition room is on the first floor (25 steps).
