Events, Talks & Tours
Throughout the year the Friends of Bank Hall Volunteers, open up the grounds for their program of event days (usually on Sundays) which has been a tradition for over 25 years in order to raise funds for the ongoing project of restoring the Hall. Although the main Hall has now been restored vital funds are still needed to support the group with other ongoing restoration projects such as the Potting Sheds Project.
Prospect Tower Tours
The Prospect Tower and Exhibition are open for tours every Sunday at 11am. Grounds visit also optional. To book your tickets please visit the link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/heritagetrustforthenorthwest

Dogs are welcome within the grounds but must be kept on short non retractable leads at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the house.

Monday 8th December 2025
Talk: Three Victorian Winckley Christmases by Susan Douglass. (Starts at 2pm)
Location: The Banastre Room, Bank Hall Prospect Tower.
The illustrated talk based on Susan's research of three families who lived or worked in Winckley Square. Matching real people with events of the time, Susan describes a traditional 1860 Christmas of a wealthy family, the deception and tragedy of a highly respected Preston solicitor in 1865 and a young servant girl's Christmas in 1880.
☕️🍷 Refreshments of mince pies/biscuits and non alcoholic mulled wine tea/coffee are included in the ticket price.

The Prospect Tower and Exhibition Tours will continue to open on Sundays; visitors will also be able to visit the grounds, follow the tree trail, see the progress work during their visits and help in our garden if they want to! (Cash or card accepted if paying on the gate).
