Event & Tours 

Throughout the year the Friends of Bank Hall Volunteers, open up the grounds for their program of event days (usually on Sundays) which has been a tradition for over 20 years in order to raise funds for the ongoing project of restoring the Hall.  Although the main Hall has now been restored vital funds are still needed to support the group with other ongoing restoration projects such as the Potting Sheds Project .

 

Talk - Iddon Treasures' Guest Speaker Jacqueline Iddon – Friday the 26th April at 1:00pm

 

An illustrated 90 minute talk by Jacqueline Iddon on the wide variety of plants she loves to grow in her garden, including how the garden has been designed and developed.

This will be followed by gardeners question time and a brief description of the plants she has for sale.

Refreshments included in the ticket price of £8.00.

Talk - 'Could you dress Tudor' Tuesday 21st May at 2.00pm, Sue Bodill on Tudor clothing 

 

A not to be missed,  90 minute talk delivered by Sue Bodill on how Tudor costumes and dresses were made and how to wear them!

Sue will be bringing a selection of beautiful, handcrafted dresses and costumes which will be displayed in the tower.

Talk - June (date yet to be confirmed) - Pete Bullen on Bonsai trees "Bonsai, what's it all about"

The talk will look at a brief history of bonsai, styles and suitable species for bonsai, horticultural requirements, feeds and soils, specialist tools. Along with a look at a few of my trees telling the story of their development. Plus Q&A with Pete.
